It’s a fair question, and the honest answer is: it depends — but it’s usually a lot faster than you’d expect.
The Most Common Repairs and How Long They Take at Mobile Lizard
Screen replacement (iPhone or Samsung): 20–60 minutes
This is our most frequent repair, and we’ve done it more times than we can count. For most popular models, the parts are in stock and ready to go. You walk in, we confirm the issue, and most of the time you’re back out the door with a like-new screen within the hour.

Battery replacement: 25–60 minutes
We replace batteries on all iPhone and Samsung Galaxy models. The swap itself is quick — the main variable is how much disassembly is required for your specific model.
Charging port repair or cleaning: 10–60 minutes
Sometimes the port just needs a professional cleaning (and that takes 15 minutes). Sometimes it needs to be replaced entirely, which takes longer but is still usually a same-day job.
Water damage assessment: Same day
We offer free diagnostics for water-damaged devices at Mobile Lizard. We open the phone, assess the damage, and show you what we’re looking at before we do anything further. No surprises. Depending on the extent of the damage, repair time varies — but we’ll give you a clear timeline once we’ve seen inside.
More complex repairs (back glass, camera, motherboard): 1–3 hours, sometimes next-day
These are less predictable by nature. Back glass replacement, for example, involves careful heat and adhesive work. If parts need to be ordered, we’ll tell you honestly and give you a timeframe.
What Affects the Timeline?
Parts availability. We stock parts for the most popular iPhone and Samsung models. Older or less common models may need an order.

What we find. Sometimes a cracked screen has caused secondary damage underneath. We’ll always show you what we find before proceeding with any additional work.
