Have you ever been faced with a moment when you had to stop and ask yourself “what’s the screen lock code on my iphone?” In today’s environment of finger print sensors and face id, we rarely use our passcode. Its perfectly normal to take a minute to recall it.
But what if you forget your passcode lock and can’t get into your iphone? You might keep entering the combination of numbers and letters you think it is until suddenly you get the message “iphone is disabled, Connect to iTunes”. Unfortunately your iphone’s security system has done its job and permanently disabled anyone (including you) from using it.
Unfortunately this can also happen when the touchscreen is broken on your device. Even with a slightly damaged screen, your iphone can begin to type on its own. After 10 incorrect entries your phone will become permanently disabled. Here is what you will need to do to regain access to your phone.
1. Connect your iphone to a laptop or desktop and
launch itunes.
2. Place your phone in restore mode.
3. iTunes will detect the phone in restore mode and
restore your phone to working condition.
Its important to note the restore process will erase all your data permanently from your iphone. If it is backed up, you can easily restore all the contents of your phone from your icloud or physical backup.
